Korean Charm-Dureup 참두릅 (지리산 자연산) - 500g
CHARM DUREUP 참두릅, The 'Real' Dureup / The 'Royal' Dureup - popularly call the "King of Spring Vegetables" because it’s so delicious and relatively hard to grow. It is a delicacy for the connoisseur of seasonal vegetables.
Charm dureup (두릅, Fatsia sprout), a mildly bitter and fragrant vegetable. Unlike most other spring greens, dureup is harvested from tree branches. Wild ones are sold starting in April and finish quite soon, in early May or even the end of April. Wild dureup has a stronger flavour and scent, than the farmed ones.
Charm dureup is the most prized dureup of the three types of dureups. The other two being dang-dureup (땅두릅, Aralia Continentalis kitagawa), a tree shoot with thicker, pale stems that have a lighter, crunchier texture than regular dureup and Gae-dureup (개두릅), also known as eomnamu-sun (엄나무순, Kalopanax septemlobus), which has thinner, purple-tinged stems.
Flavour profile: First you get blanched asparagus or bamboo shoots with a slight piney, grassy scent following. The last note is sweet and pleasantly bitter flavour that grows at the end. The texture when blanched is similar to blanched asparagus.
Charm duruep can be also battered with tempura and fried, gives a crunchy bite and leaves an aromatic flavour. It's a dish all gourmands will definitely endorse.
For storage, it is recommended to blanch it in boiling water, rinse it in cold water, divide it into small portions, and store it in freezer.

When you place a pre-order, we will create a special reservation with the manufacturer or supplier for you. Because of this, it is currently not possible for us to cancel a pre-order. If you do insist on a cancellation, then a surcharge of 70% of the order value will be imposed.

For Frozen Items, in any case of receiving a wrong item, as long as the product is NOT consumed, left untouched (Thawed,Frozen), We will determine whether the item has meet our requirements and eligible for an exchange, or a refund. Any wrong item received that has a difference in price will be partially refunded depending on the situation.
