Korean BaekJa Melon 백자멜론 - approx. 1.4kg
Baekja melons are a new type of melons planted in the Kyungsangnamdo Haman and Kyungsangbukdo Golyeong. They are slightly smaller than a cantaloupe and have ivory skin/rind with green streaks. They are also nicknamed "Noble melon" due to its appearance, resembling a porcelain vase with smooth white surface. Not only that, but they're quite weighty for their size and have a lengthy shelf life after being picked.
When pressing on the bloom or stem ends of a ripe Baekja melon, there should be a little give. The ends may also smell fruity.
This melon can be eaten in a variety of ways. You can eat it like any other melon. Cut it in half and remove the seeds. If you like, save the seeds and try planting them. Incredibly juicy and deliciously sweet, it's quite refreshing, smooth, and simple to eat.
