Musk melons are known as luxury musk melons in Korea. They are extremely popular despite their hefty price tag. Musk melons are from Koksung and Kochang in Jeollanam-do where the mild and sunny climate throughout the year brings out the strong aroma, exceptional sweetness and firm but soft flesh of the melons. Musk melons are available throughout the year.
On the surface of high-quality musk melons, thick net patterns are closely inter-twined. After ripening, slice and eat to enjoy the soft flesh and rich flavour. Musk melons grown in clean areas boast a high sugar content of 15 brix or more, and are characterized by a rich sweet flavour and abundant juice.
Musk melon contains a lot of potassium, dietary fibre and moisture, so it is perfect to enjoy as a dessert after a meal.
How to store Musk melon
- Leave it at room temperature with good ventilation for 2 to 3 days. Store it in the refrigerator 3 to 4 hours before eating and eat it cold to enjoy the sweetness that spreads throughout your mouth.
- If the melon is too cold, the sweetness will decrease, so do not leave it in the refrigerator for a long time.
- If storing for a long time, do not go through the post-ripening process, wrap it in newspaper, etc. and refrigerate it, and put the cut melon in an airtight container and refrigerate. (It can be stored for about 2-3 days)
For all pre-order items and fresh produce like fruits and fresh mushrooms, we regret that there is no refund, cancellation, or return once orders are placed to our supplier on Mondays when pre-order closed.
When you place a pre-order, we will create a special reservation with the manufacturer or supplier for you. Because of this, it is currently not possible for us to cancel a pre-order. If you do insist on a cancellation, then a surcharge of 70% of the order value will be imposed.
For SoGood Thursday Pre-Orders, please reach out to us immediately should you change your mind. Please contact us, call or email ASAP by 6pm on Monday of the week of delivery, as we will send in the order to import your items then.
For Frozen Items, in any case of receiving a wrong item, as long as the product is NOT consumed, left untouched (Thawed,Frozen), We will determine whether the item has meet our requirements and eligible for an exchange, or a refund. Any wrong item received that has a difference in price will be partially refunded depending on the situation.
