A handmade makgeolli that is completed by adding water into a makgeolli kit containing roasted rice and fermenting for 36 hours. Convenient, fast and ready to drink makgeolli in 36 hours compared to 3-5 days for traditional makgeolli making.

Manufactured at an FDA-certified facilities, there's reliable quality control and reliable and safe to consume. Just add water according to the content of alcohol and you can enjoy your makgeolli in just a short time.

The Rice Flower Makgeolli Kit is a total of 450g and contains three bags of 150g each. You can make atleast 1L of Makgeolli per bag, and you can make a total of 3L of Makgeolli.

5. Mixed formulation 1.3% Yeast [Saccharomyces cerevisiae] 98%, emulsifier [sorbitan fatty acid ester] 1.7%, vitamin C 0.3%ditive [Active dry yeast] 1.3% Dry yeast 98.5%, Emulsifier [ Sorbitan fatty acid ester] 1.5%
7. Mixed formulation 0.5% Glucoamylase 80%, Amylase (non bacterial) 20%
8. Citric acid 0.5%

Expiration: 1 year from date of manufacture

Note

1. You can adjust the amount of water-based on one bag of makgeolli kit to get to your desired alcohol content. The less water you put in, the higher the alcohol dosage, and the more water you put, the lower the alcohol dosage.
620ml: 12 %/ 780ml: 10 %/ 1L: 7 %/ 1.4 L: 5 %

2. After making Makgeolli, you can consume it until 30~45 days when it is stored in the refrigerator. But after a week, you could feel more alcohol scent. So, we recommend you consume it within a week. If it is an unpacked kit, it can be stored at room temperature for a year and is recommended to consume it as soon as possible after unpacking the kit.

3.The enclosed cotton cloth is for filtering out the rice sludge (Jigaemi). You can filter it out according to your preference. You can eat it with rice sludges like Sikhye(Sweet Rice Punch) or Dongdongju without filtering.

For all pre-order items and fresh produce like fruits and fresh mushrooms, we regret that there is no refund, cancellation, or return once orders are placed to our supplier on Mondays when pre-order closed. 

When you place a pre-order, we will create a special reservation with the manufacturer or supplier for you. Because of this, it is currently not possible for us to cancel a pre-order. If you do insist on a cancellation, then a surcharge of 70% of the order value will be imposed.

Homemade Makgeolli

It's so fun making our own makgeolli with Rice Flower Makgeolli Kit. Simply add water into a pack of roasted rice makgeolli pack and let it ferment. Convenient, fast and ready to drink in 36 hours compared to 3-5 days traditionally made. I added some Grape Vinegar and freshly squeezed Orange Juice to the Makgeolli... couldn't stop at one glass! Perfect pairing with Korean Fried Chicken!!

Nice packaging, interesting experience making Makgeolli. Get to watch the fermentation process. I put it 1 day in room temperature and 4 days in the fridge. The sweetness is just right.
